Assistant accountant – payable / Payroll

Report to the Finance Manager

 

Responsibilities,

General accounting

·Analysis and monthly entries for prepaid expenses.

·Monthly reconciliation of Balance Sheet items.

·Assist in the establishment of month-end accruals.

·Manage corporate visa statement (P Cards) for all employees;

 

Payroll

·Validate the Payroll Spreadsheet (PS) before the pay is transmitted;

·Validate the payroll register;

·Arrange payment of salary;

·Distribute pay slips and any related memos;

·Serve as the primary contact for employees;

·Work in collaboration with the Taxation Department; ensure that government information/forms are exchanged between the Taxation Department and employees;

·Provide support for the organization of individual tax clinics.

 

Payables

·Process invoices and provide administrative/finance support to the Costumes and Props Workshop;

·Reconcile all expense reports and ensure that reimbursements are made. 

 

Requirements,

·Bachelor’s degree in accounting;

·3 to 5 years’ accounting experience;

·2 or 3 years’ payroll experience;

·Knowledge of Excel is essential;

·Knowledge of SAP is an asset;

·Fluency in spoken and written English is essential.
