Chief Engineer

Our client is a 5 star hotel in Macau. They are seeking for a good individual to join their team as Chief Engineer.

Chief Engineer is responsible for, but not limited to, the Hotel operational requirements for the building systems, and engineering staff.

Duties


Hotel Management
- Manage engineering preventive maintenance programs.
- Participate in all aspects of Fire, Life, Health and Safety procedures and practices.
- Coordinate with all departments including residential with day to day operations.
- Manage engineering staff including payroll, scheduling, performance evaluation and disciplinary procedures.
- Conduct and participate in meetings, seminars, training etc.
- Hotel Asset / Project Management
- Establish and manage the annual plan and budget
- Oversee the strategic direction of general projects related to the enhancement of the Hotel. The project management covers the areas of planning, administration, implementation and evaluation of financial results of project.


Finance
- The monitoring and control of repair and maintenance budget.
- The annual hotel budget process and submission.
- The monitoring and control of the energy cost and consumption.

Human Resources
- Career development programs for employees.

Information Technology
- Telecommunication system upgrades or enhancements.
- Annual maintenance of the IT and support equipment.
- Annual testing of emergency back-up system for IT and support area.

Operations
- Training and demonstration on various systems such as key system for rooms, A/V equipment, lighting system etc.
- Coordinate room maintenance program with departments such as, Housekeeping, Front office etc.


Requirements

- A minimum of 4 years in a disciplined subject such as Construction management, Development, Engineering, Environmental studies etc..
- A minimum of 5-10 years of administrative and or managerial background.
- Must possess excellent coordination and interactive skills.
- A minimum of 5-10 years involvement of high-end property development and management.
- Must possess excellent knowledge of major building systems.
- Must possess some knowledge of energy management for buildings.
- Excellent written and verbal skills

- Fluent in English, Chinese and Mandarin

- Macau resident highly preferred
