Project Manager- Design (Master Planner)

Job Summary

Reporting to the Vice President- Design, the incumbent will be responsible for monitoring and coordination consultant team, preparing documents and reports, attend meetings with consultants and, government authorities document and issue meeting minutes. 

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise team of consultants in developing Master Planning design efforts including schedule and cost, attend and document meetings, coordinate with Government authorities.
• Monitor and supervise the subordinates in completing their assignment within schedule.
• Review and comment on consultants’ submissions including design, design reports, technical reports, maintain scheduled and cost information.
• Assist in Value engineering of consultants’ design. And recommend cost effective source of alternative suppliers, design solutions without compromising the design intent.
• In collaboration with other teams, assist in guiding the consultant team to ensure cost effectiveness.
• Assist in establishing design needs and allocate in-house multi-disciplinary team to provide support.
• Assist in providing design support for and communicated closely with the Design Team on new/modified design for the projects, as required.
• Work closely with other teams in resolving key design issues that may affect the Master Plan or impair the progress of work.
• Provide leadership to design/ consultant team throughout the design progress.

Requirements

• High Certificate/High Diploma/Degree holder in Architecture/ Urban Planning or related studies.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in Architecture/ Urban Planning.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in working with Architecture / Master Planning consulting firm on multi-use projects.
• Experience in managing and providing leadership to project staff on Architecture/ Master Planning Projects.
• The candidate must be fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
• The candidate must demonstrate good communication skills.
