Public Relations Assistant Manager
Job Scope
· To assist the Public Relations Senior Manager in the identification, development and implementation of strategic PR and media plans; to execute communications programs, deliver significant media results, identify and manage key issues as well as managing the daily activities of the Public Relations team.
· To focus on completing PR department work in accordance with established plans and quality standards. Concurrently, to focus on building competencies in the areas of basic consulting, assignment performance, functional skills and in embracing and practicing core values of the company.
· To assist in providing the company with a positive organizational image to the general public, media, and the community, to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Primary Responsibilities
· Work closely with Senior Public Relations Manager.
· Assist in the management of projects and events - press conferences, press launches, one-to-one interviews.
· Assist in the arrangement of the distribution of print materials to media and opinion influencers.
· Recommend PR-related activities to Senior Public Relations Manager.
· Liaise with global international media including all areas of China.
· Assist in the development/production of media materials of the company.
· Deliver results with increasing impact to support Company objectives.
Required Experience
· Experience in managing media relations campaigns in support of company and / or client initiatives.
· Experience with media program development and execution in Asia Pacific region.
· Two years experience in media relations with proven success with television and print media.
Required Knowledge
· Knowledge of media in the Asia Pacific region in particular China market.
Skills / Abilities / Presence
· Demonstrate a positive attitude in a deadline-oriented environment.
· Be a self-starter with the proven ability to be committed to PR tasks.
· Translate strategy into specific goals and objectives easily; put a top priority on obtaining positive results.
· Have an excellent command of Mandarin, Cantonese and English.
· Be able to analyze quickly, incorporate and apply new information and concepts.
· Get along with fellow Employees and work as an effective team member.
· Be willing to work any day and sometimes at irregular hours according to the demands of the job
· Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to departmental and company policies.
· Have a well groomed, professional appearance.
